MELLOM PARADIS OG HELLEVIGA

This work is based on a field recording I made in Norway; the musical parts were added and arranged in several steps later. The result is a really fascinating interplay between musicians and nature that provides a deeply immersive listening experience.

The 'degree of independence' of each step of the process actually varies: I did not know what the field recording would become when I recorded and edited it; Gary had no idea his solo improvisations might end up in Norway, so to speak; Michael knew both parts and the way I had arranged them and played along with the result, but did not suspect that his two improvisations would be combined into a new part. And so MELLOM PARADIS OG HELLEVIGA was born, step by step: in Kristiansand, Norway; London, United Kingdom, and Berlin and Koblenz, Germany ...
